Hiniker Parkway and Range Street there will be grading, bituminous pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer, trail connections, sidewalk, street lighting, striping and turf restoration. 

Hiniker Pond Park Parking Lot will include bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete walks, ADA connections to existing trails, parking lot lighting and stormwater treatment.

Work is complete at Hiniker Pond Park Parking Lot and Hiniker Parkway.  The contractor will continue to water the sod and plantings on both projects to get establishment prior winter.

The contractor replaced some areas of sod that were not doing well along Hiniker Parkway this week.  They will continue to water sod along Hiniker Parkway and Hiniker Pond Park Parking Lot through the fall to make sure the sod is fully established heading into winter.  City staff will be on Hiniker Parkway performing some tree trimming activities in the coming weeks.

Hiniker Parkway opened Monday, 8/24 to the public.  Sod and landscaping maintenance is ongoing on the parking lot area as well as Hiniker Parkway.  The contractor will continue to water these areas to get the sod fully established.  City crews will be out on Hiniker Parkway within the next week trimming some trees.

Hiniker Pond Park Parking lot is fully completed.  The contractor has temporary irrigation lines in place to maintain the sod.  This temporary irrigation will remain in place until the sod is fully established.

The final layer of asphalt was placed on Hiniker Parkway this week.  Signing, striping, and street light install will take place this week.  The contractor will be watering the sod until it is fully established.  Hiniker Parkway is scheduled to open to the public on Monday, August 24th.

Hiniker Pond Park Parking Lot is open to public use.  The public is advised to use caution as there are irrigation lines crossing the sidewalks.  The irrigation lines will remain in place for the next few weeks in order to maintain the sod and plants that were installed.

The base course of asphalt was installed this week.  Crews are on site working on raising manholes and working on the landscaping.  The final layer of asphalt is scheduled to be place the week of August 17th with traffic signage and striping to follow.  Hiniker Parkway is project to open the week of August 24th pending and weather delays.

Fine grading on Hiniker Parkway was completed this week.  The first layer on asphalt is scheduled to be completed on 8/11 pending any weather related delays with turf restoration to follow prior to the final layer of asphalt which will be placed the week of 8/17.

The final layer of asphalt has been placed on Hiniker Pond Parking Lot.  All landscaping work is completed and temporary irrigation has been set up to maintain the freshly placed sod.  Parking lot striping was completed this week along with signage.  The parking lot is projected to be open to the public as soon as mid day, Friday, 8/7.  The contractor will remove the temporary construction fence prior to opening the parking lot.

Landscaping work at Hiniker Pond Parking Lot was completed this week with the final layer of asphalt scheduled to be done on Monday, August 3rd and Striping Wednesday August, 5th.

Concrete work on Hiniker Parkway was completed this week with fine grading scheduled to start on Monday, August 3rd in preparation for the first layer of asphalt to be place the week of August, 10th.  The filtration pond is also complete along with the underground storm piping.

Curb and gutter was placed on Hiniker Parkway this week.  Expect aggregate base tolerancing, sidewalk installation, and asphalt trail installation to start soon.  Landscaping work is ongoing on the parking lot portion of the project.  Expect final layer of asphalt and parking lot striping to occur in the near future.

The first layer of asphalt is complete on Hiniker Pond Park Parking Lot as well as all of the concrete work and bituminous trail.  The contractor adjusted the manholes in preparation for the final layer of asphalt which is tentatively scheduled for Monday, 7/27.  Topsoil has also been placed and graded in preparation for the landscaping work to begin the week of 7/20 and is expected to be complete Friday, 7/24.  Underground electrical work for the light poles and setting of the light poles is currently taking place and projected to be complete this week.

The contractor spent the week on Hiniker Parkway digging the filtration basin, installing rock and filter media, and working on the drainage piping for the basin.  This work is now complete which will allow for the remainder of the utility work to be installed the week of 7/20.  They also completed aggregate placement and grading on the road in preparation for concrete work to start the week of 7/20.  Concrete work on Hiniker Parkway will be the main focus for the next couple weeks.

The contractor has been working on both the parking lot and Hiniker Parkway this week.  They hauled select granular fill to the parking lot and placed aggregate base this week with curb and gutter work scheduled to begin the week of 6/22.  There is some perforated drain work to complete at the parking lot next week as well.

The contractor is in the process of installing storm sewer along Hiniker Parkway with the work continuing into the week of 6/22.  They are also in the process of sub cutting the subgrade on the north end of the project the remainder of this week.  When storm sewer work is complete, they will begin working on sub base and base, followed by concrete work.

The contractor finished the storm sewer on Hiniker Parkway this week.  Underdrain piping will begin Thursday 6/25 and will carry over into the week of 6/29.  They will finish prepping subgrade and test roll the week of 6/29 and will begin installing the sub-base toward the end of the week.  

Curb and gutter work at Hiniker Pond Parking Lot will begin Thursday 6/25 or Friday 6/26 and will continue thru the week of 6/29.  The week of 6/29 there will be bituminous trail paving, curb and gutter work, and concrete sidewalk work taking place.

Utilities contractors finished up relocating their utilities this week for the Hiniker Parkway portion of the project.  The contractor will be back on site next week to finish installing the underdrain piping and start digging the filtration pond on the south end of the project.  They will also finish subgrade preparation and start placing aggregate.

Concrete work took place at Hiniker Pond Park Parking Lot this week with the curb and sidewalks being completed.  The rainy weather delayed the fine grading work that was scheduled for this week.  They will be working on fine grading the parking lot and bituminous trail early next week with the intention of paving the first layer of asphalt later in the week.

The first layer of asphalt was placed on the Hiniker Pond Park Parking lot this week.  They will install the parking lot lights and begin landscaping the week of 7/13 or as soon as it dries up enough.  The final layer of asphalt is projected to be place the week of 7/20 depending on the weather.

Grading work is taking place on Hiniker Parkway with the contractor completing the storm sewer work and underdrain work this week.  They are currently placing aggregate and bringing the road up to grade.  This work will continue through the week of 7/13. Once the aggregate is place they will work on the filtration basin and finish up any related drainage work.
